  • Assists in leading Ashley’s Sales Approach (ASA) to meet or exceed customer satisfaction and sales goals
  • Assists in managing store operations to ensure high levels of productivity, efficiencies, and effectiveness
  • Personal sales goal -- Is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding a minimum standard of sales that contribute to the overall stores sales goal
  • Is responsible for competitive shopping within the region and ensuring all associates are knowledgeable on Ashley Furniture product, competitor’s product and can provide a selling story to assist the customer in making a well-informed purchasing decision
  • Attends all training sessions
  • Maintain reliable attendance
  • Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
  • Actively coaches and mentors employees through individual on-the-job -on-one coaching
  • Ensures all customers are provided individual service in a non-threatening atmosphere by ensuring Sales Associates are staged in their primary staging areas and the sales floor is properly orchestrated when there are more customers than associates
  • Ensures the sales process is followed in order to identify customer needs and to provide solutions for their home furnishing needs throughout the customer buying cycles
  • Ensure the correct departmental structure, staffing, and scheduling is in place and maintained to ensure value for our customer
  • Ensures operational readiness and execution by inspecting facility, floor condition, and housekeeping standards that have been set forth to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Opens and closes the store when Store Manager isn’t present by ensuring all beginning of day (BOD) and end of day (EOD) procedures are followed.
  • Is responsible for the handling of cash, as well as the security and safety of all functions when Store Manager isn’t present.
